It’s Our Time- Say the Kids at this festival

Recently there was a buzz in the city of Chennai among the little children. Each of them was persuading their parents to take them to Gallery Sri Parvathi on the 27th of April. After all, there was a festival being hosted exclusively for them.

The Yocee (www.yocee.in) team had organized ‘The Little People’s festival’, a daylong fest for the children and their parents in Chennai.
It had the entire stall range that a little one could ever dream of. And activities on the spot to take part in.

There were floral, vibrantly coloured hair accessories, yummy candies, self-customisable chains and bracelets, paintable terracotta pieces, a mini bakery, crochet bags, never seen before artistic photo frames, beautiful paper jewellery, books and pretty attires they could adorn themselves with.

To beat the heat there was a cool jigarthanda shop. What is more is there were a live photo booth and a caricature artist to draw your portrait.

The festival that began in the morning at 10.30 went on until 8.30 in the evening with different programs to engage the kids in.

There was an art competition, a multilingual sing along choir  by Madras youth choir, magic show, storytelling and loads more for them to enjoy.

The specialty of the festival was that everything on store was handmade!

The yocee directory for the year 2013 was also launched on that day. It was well organised and the kids and their parents thought it as a day worth spending. After all, it was a place to rejoice exclusively for them!
