Sports Day at Sunshine school

Sunshine Chennai Senior Secondary School, Puzhuthivakkam celebrated its 4th Sports Day on August 1, 2013 at the YMCA grounds, Nandanam.

The highlights of the day were the march past, the mass drill, and the human pyramid. The aerobics display by students looked very professional and the group dance was very colourful. Many athletic events and races formed part of the day’s events.

V.Vellathai, the Principal of Vyasa Matriculation Higher Secondary School was the chief guest and Durgavathy Stalin, the guest of honour .

The athletes had a break from the heat and juices were distributed to them. But that wasn’t long, as they quickly got back to the baton pass medley relay.

The ground gleamed with the colors of yoga mats as there was a beautiful yoga performance. The entire ground was roaring with joy during prize distribution ceremony.

Nakshatra house bagged the Best House prize among the four houses Anthara, Dhara, Nakshatra and Kirana. The event concluded with address by the chief guest and the vote of thanks.
