A unique choir presentation by Kalaa Manjari

Kalaa Manjari an after school activity centrei n Alwarpet  will celebrate its first year celebrations with the Debut performance of Sa Re Gaa children’s choir .
The 63 member choir includes 10 tribal children from Annaikatti, a village near Coimbatore.

The children will be singing songs culled from the works of the great Indian poets like Tagore and Bharathi,
The children not only learn songs in different languages but also imbibe some of the spirit of their words, says Jayashree of Kalaa manjari.

The celebration will be held on Nov. 3, 2010 at Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium, Luz Church Road, Mylapore from 6.45 p.m. onwards
Well known Carnatic vocalist T.M. Krishna will be the chief guest of the event.

The other guests of honour will be musician Sangeetha Sivakumar, actor and media personality Janaki Sabesh and Sudha Raja of Madras Youth Choir. The special invitee for the event is actor/director Chinne Jayanth
