It was a rainy day,I thought the field trip would be cancelled but hurray,Viji mam announced “You will go for the field trip”.

We boarded the bus at 9.30 a.m. very quietly because the seniors were writing the exams. After 1 ½ hours As we reached Dakshinachitra, the guide Mr. Prabhu showed and explained about the Kerala and Tamil Nadu houses. We had a jolly ride on the bullock cart. We saw how a weaver and a potter worked.

Then it was lunch break, we saw some millipedes crawling around. Then we watched “Krishna Leela” a puppet show in which one person spoke for all the characters with different voices.
A conversation went like this.
“Krishna ne poi solgerai!”
“Illa maa…”,
“Iru onai marathil katti podegiren!!”.

Next there was a magic show in which our classmates participated. Last was the folk dance.

It was time to return, we were tired and some of us slept in the bus. We reached the school at 3.30 p.m. Our parents were waiting for us. I spent the evening telling about the trip to all at home. I thank Viji mam and all the teachers for such a wonderful trip.
