Guided tour of Bronze gallery at the museum – March 12, 2011

Namma Mylapore, a group of voluntary individuals, is organising a tour of the Bronze Gallery inside the Govt. Museum, Egmore on March 12. The tour starts at 10.30 a.m. from the entrance of the museum and ends at 12 noon.

Dr. Chithra Madhavan, a research scholar in the fields of history and archeology,  will lead the group on this tour. She will explain the history, special features and aesthetic appeal of the bronze icons on display at the museum.

The tour is limited to the first 20 participants only. Fee for the tour is Rs.50 (including the entrance fee to the museum). This applies to Indian nationals only. Foreign nationals have a different entrance fee structure at the museum.

The assembly point is at the main entrance of the museum at 10.15 a.m. Tickets for camera tickets are priced at Rs.250 by the museum and participants must buy the tickets on their own.
