Tamil Heritage Trust will be conducting a workshop for children on May 19 and 20, 2012 at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz Avenue, Mylapore.
The workshop will include sessions on Life & exciting Math of Srinivasa Ramanujan led by N. Balasubramaniam and Badri Seshadri, introduction to Astronomy to look up in the sky with naked eyes by R. Gopu, Kirigami, the art of cutting paper by Ramesh. There is a presentation on plants around us with a guided tour of Nageswara Rao Park by Prof. S. Swaminathan. A session on Hindu Iconography to identify the icons in Hindu temples and the stories behind them followed by a guided tour of Kapaleeswara temple, Mylapore by V. Sivaramakrishnan and Badri Seshadri.
The workshop is open only to 40 participants on first-come-first-served basis. Fee Rs. 100.
