Cycle Heritage Quiz 2013, organised by Cycle Pure Agarbathis, was held at the Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Chetpet on July 27, 2013. This is the second year, the quiz is conducted in Chennai.
Over 250 teams from 60 schools participated in the quiz and top six teams made it to the final. The focus of the quiz was the heritage of India including, epics, Mythology, origins of festivals and traditions.
After six rounds of tough quizzing, the team of Vidhan Bhaiya and Vishnu Kamath of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Taylors Road emerged the winner. The second prize winners was the team from P.S. Senior Sec. School, Mylapore with Arjun Arvind and Sankrith.
The other teams who made it to the finals were Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalaya – Harish Yadav and Chiranjeevi, DAV Boys’ Senior school – Srikumar and Aditya Sriram, Jawahar Vidyalaya – Anurag and Nikhil and Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Virugambakkam – Adhitya and Thirunarayana.
Gopinath, popular TV personality was the quiz master. Ms. Jannavi Murthy, managing partner, NR group gave away the prizes.
When YOCee’s student reporters get busy, the team at YOCee’s small office takes up the role of the reporters, does the rounds, writes copies and files reports. The team also posts useful info and ePapers produced in-house.
