On the 17th of August, 2023, something exciting happened at National Public School, Jayanagar, Bengaluru – Amayam, the school fest, took place! It was the first Inter-School Event hosted by the school. It was a big event where 19 schools came together to have fun and compete in 21 different competitions.
Amayam, the school fest is named after soldiers who gave everything for their country. It’s like a celebration to honour their bravery and sacrifice. In Amayam, 478 students from different schools took part in various competitions. The fest happened right at NPS Jayanagar – in the school’s own space. It was like turning the school into a big playground for a day! Famed singer Ms. Archana Udupa inaugurated the festival.
The school organised cool competitions like “Jack out of the Box,” “Shark Tank,” Quizzes, Debate, Fashion shows, Coding, shutter snap, Movie making, Science Triathlon, Art installation, ramp walks, and many more.
Imagine this: the school ground was filled with stalls from big companies like Pizza Hut, Café Coffee Day, Haldirams, and the like. Students used their money to get tokens and then exchanged those tokens for yummy food, beautiful paintings, bracelets, bookmarks, and other cool stuff.
Different competitions took place on different floors. Guess what? Orchids International School won the most awards and even took home a giant trophy for winning the most! Bangalore International Academy, Jayanagar won the 1st Prize in Art Installation, 2nd Prize in Cosmic Rhapsody and 3rd Prize in Science Triathlon.
After all the excitement, there was a DJ party! Students from all the schools danced together, making it a night to remember. Dr. Bala, the President of NPS Trust, was the special guest, and more than 1000 people came to enjoy the fest.
In the end, Amayam wasn’t just a fest; it was a day full of laughter, learning, and making new friends. Everyone left with happy memories, and we can’t wait for the next one!
