Daan Utsav also called as ‘Joy of Giving week’ is observed every year from October 2 to October 8. Started in the year 2009, this effort has reached more than 150 cities in India. It is a volunteer-driven initiative that encourages people to do any act of giving. People all over India have participated in this festival ranging from maids and autodrivers to CEO’s of big companies.

KG Financial Services (KGFS) plans to plant nutritious plants and / or fruit trees in the vicinity of Anganwadi. These fruits and vegetables will be provided along with the mid day meal to children.
Paperman, an organisation that encourages people of Chennai to recycle their wastes both for a cost and cause, will recycle paper with the help of school,colleges etc. and the funds gained will be given to the non-profit organisations.
Cake for a cause is an initiative at Forum Vijaya mall. French loaf velachery is creating the Chennai’s longest photo cake featuring award winning Tamil films. The funds gained will be given to the non-profits.
Many seva camps are held in and around Chennai. These seva camps help the non profits in many ways.
