Project day at the P.S.B.B Millennium School

The 4th annual project of The P.S.B.B Millennium School took place on the Nov. 6 and 7. The theme for this year was – Traditionally Yours.

Each class was given a sub topic on which the projects and charts had to be done. The topics assigned to the classes were ‘Traditional Food’, ‘Traditional Dresses’, ‘Rituals and Worship’, ‘Traditional Art and Architecture’, ‘Occupation of People’ and ‘Science behind Superstitions’.

The people who visited the project day learnt that the culture and tradition of India is richer than any country’s in the world. They also come to know more about traditional food by tasting them at the food stalls kept by the junior students.

By looking and listening to the explanations given by the colorfully dressed 2nd graders visitors were reminded about traditional clothing.

Various rituals followed by in India during the life span of an person were presented in the form of creative drama, role play and video presentations.

Children depicted different occupations that people practiced during the past and continue to make their livelihood with it even now. Various types of arts and paintings were shown too. Live demos on how to do different kinds of paintings were one of the many that interested visitors.

The style of architecture of ancient India was show cased through models and charts. The students also explained how architecture was connected to the way of living in the past.

The senior students of the school gave scientific explanations for strongly believed superstitions.

The projects were only one of the two parts of the event. The other was the cultural show where the young dancers and singers of the school showcased their talents. The cultural events had attracted the attention of the visitors for half an hour.
