SPARK Science Club, based in Kottivakkam is offering two after school weekend courses for high school children interested in Science and machines.
The Scientists Club will introduce children to basic Science and to the scientific approach in a hands- on manner.
Students of VI-VIII class will get to do inquiry- based experiments to understand Physics and Chemistry. They will also learn the relevant Maths tools in the process. The Club will meet on Friday afternoons.
The Engineers’ Club is a two year advanced weekend program in Physics, Chemistry & Math for students of classes 9th & 10th. Participants will conduct experiments, record & analyse results to eventually come to an understanding of the Physics law behind natural phenomena. Formal theory will also be taught and higher order numericals will be solved to help students understand science better. The club will meet on Saturday afternoons.
The courses start in June and will run through the year.
