Mylapore is the eye of Chennai. A place that is even older than Madras, It is the place where culture, religion and unity starts.
Every year to honour such a great place, a festival is held as Mylapore Festival sponsored by Sundaram finance. This year was no different.
From 21st to the 24th of January was the splendid Mylapore Festival. With activities for children like portrait, tattoos and merry-go-rounds, activities for young girls and ladies like mehendi every one had a chance to enjoy themselves to the fullest. With beautiful jewellery stalls in the famous Pitchupillai Street and exclusive Tamil Books on East Tank Street. A street was dedicated to eateries alone, It was a bonanza.
Not only that, but many competitions were also organised where people could exhibit their talents like kolam, traditional games, etc.
There were also programmes every day held in front of the Kapali temple which reminded everyone there of our rich culture and made them proud of it.
