V. Varsha, a class VII student of The Hindu Senior Secondary School, Indira Nagar will present a vocal Carnatic music performance at the Nageswara Rao Park in Mylapore on August 7, 2011 at 6.30 a.m.
This concert is held as part of the mikeless Sunday kutcheri in the Park organised by Sundaram Finance.
Varsha is a disciple of guru A.S. Murali.
She will be accompanied by Y.P. Ganesh, disciple of guru Kandadevi Vijayaraghavan, on the violin and by Melattur Lakshmi Narasimhan, a student of guru Madurai Seshadhri on the mridangam.
Chennai based Sundaram Finance has been organising the monthly Sunday Kutcheri in the Park since February 2006 with the aim of providing opportunities to children aged below 15years.
