An on the spot painting competition for young children was organised jointly by Airtel and Aavishkar India on 
August 3,2008.
The topic for the competition was ‘Super India’. It was held in the premises of Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram on Kilpauk Garden Road.
The organisers said that the competition was mainly aimed at promoting India’s Culture and Heritage among the young participants. Nearly 1500 children studying in classes 3 to 8 from all over Chennai participated in this competition.
The contestants were divided into three batches and the competition went on from 9 am to 2 pm. The entry to the contest was free

All the participants received a book titled ‘My Big Book’ and also participation certificates. Earlier similar competitions 
were held at Vellore and Coimbatore. The next event will be in Madurai, said the organisers.
