The senior Bharatanatyam exponents, Dhananjayan and Shanta Dhananjayan will be performing at Chettinad Harishree Vidyashram in Srinivasa Avenue Road, R.A. Puram on April 7, 2014 at 8 a.m. The dancers are recipients of Padma Bhushan award.
This performance marks the curtain raiser of the International Convention of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth). The Chennai chapter of SPIC MACAY works out of IIT Madras. The society aims at creating awareness and a sense of pride in our rich cultural heritage across schools and colleges all over India.
