Bamboola Play School’s Recycling team is organising a Barter day at the school on March 25, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This is an event to exchange the old toys and books with others who bring in their used ones.
The team says, “Toys, Books can be expensive. And if you are like most parents, you probably have a whole pile (or two) at home that your child may have outgrown or no longer uses them. Swap or exchange is a great way to get rid of some of those unused items while picking up some “new” ones that your little one might enjoy at little to no cost. Everyone wins. Your child gets some new playthings while you get some extra space in your house.
Categories — common ones include stuffed animals, cars and trucks, dolls and dollhouses, building toys, books, games and puzzles, outdoor toys and sports equipment, arts and crafts, baby toys, video games, and DVDs.”
Recycling is the main idea for the event. With exams getting over, there could be a lot of notebooks, stationery and text-books that can be exchanged at this event.
There is no registration fee, but a confirmation of participation is necessary so that the organisers can hold a spot for the participant.
The main condition is – No cash – Only Exchange
The team requests the participants to bring the children along so that they get to know the value of recycling. “Anything left behind can be donated to Bamboola which will be distributed to deserving and needy,” says the team.
Bamboola is at 73, Venkata Krishna Road, R.A. Puram. Phone: 2461 1779
When YOCee’s student reporters get busy, the team at YOCee’s small office takes up the role of the reporters, does the rounds, writes copies and files reports. The team also posts useful info and ePapers produced in-house.
