Chennai December Music season is perhaps the world’s largest celebration of classical music and dance. Performers, students, gurus, sponsors and arts lovers from abroad flow in and out of the concert venues.
Classical arts are not just for the seniors and the elderly. Children who are learning and who already have taken their talents to the performing stages also look for events to be part of.
The Children’s Musical Rhapsody – as a special effort to bring the magic of the music season directly to children in schools is organised this year by Anil Srinivasan, the classical pianist and his team. As a format that consists both of explanations, storytelling about music/musicians and short performances by very eminent artists, we are sure that this effort will take off well.
