The Abhinaya 2014 is back. Wondering what ? It is the anniversary of the prestigious Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan group of schools. The theme of its 57 Anniversary is Vishvotsavam – Festivals of the world.
The chief guest of the day is Mr.G. Chandramohan, president of ABK AOTS DOSAKI Tamil Nadu centreband and the guest of honour is Padma Shree awardee, Prof. Sudharani Raghupati, founder – trustee, Bharatalaya. This prestigious show is going to be put up on stage at Kamaraj Memorial Hall , Teynampet on July 26, 2014 at 5.30 p.m.
Utsav or festival transforms an ordinary day into a day of celebrations with a riot of colours, a merely of music, a repertoire and resplendent dances and more than all the joy one gets, makes the occasion a memorable one. In the words of Rabindranath Tagore, “You are invited to the festival of this world and your life is blessed.”
The programme commences with an invocation to Lord Ganesha. This is followed by a fantasy parade of Spiderman, Superman, and Batman. Mythological stories of Bal Ganesh , Krishna and Bal Hanuman will cme alive at this show. The viewers will be taken into a journey of fantasy with the legendary Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, children’s favourite Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse and the never ending chase of Tom and Jerry.
Prantiya Utsav, festivals of South India helps us to understand our culture. Begining from picturesque Kerala, the events will also showcase suvarna Karnataka, divine Andhra Pradesh and tranquil Tamil nadu. The Deshiya Utsav, will focus on festivals of Gujarat and Rajasthan to be presented with a colourful dance and music.
The Rio carnival, the world biggest festival with about 2 million people taking part in it will also part of the event . The cherry blossom is a beautiful scene which conveys about the friendship of the USA and Japan. The Venatian mask dance and the African dance are the last on the Videshya Utsav.
In the the grand finale La-fĂȘte- de Mardi gras, the Chinese floating festival, Fiesta Espanola, Russian folk ensemble and the dance of the Belgians on Binche marks are eagerly expected. Welcome to enjoy this 99 minute treat to the eyes and ears as the quote of Oprah Winfrey goes like – the more you praise the more there is in life to celebrate.
