The Shristi School of Fine Arts organises interschool competitions in dance, music, drawing and embroidery. The events are part of the school’s Friendship Day celebrations, from September 23 to 26, 2012 at Andal Kalyana Mandapam, LB Road, Adyar.
On Sep. 23 instrumental music competition will be held for all ages (group, solo, Indian and Western music) and vocal music for those aged between five and 19 (group solo, Classical and light).
On Sep. 24 competitions in drawing and painting will held. Competitions with a topic (ages five to eight); free-style drawing with colour crayon (ages nine to 12); free-style drawing through pencil shading, with a topic and story illustration (ages 12 to 19).
On September 25, the competition is in embroidery (girls aged 13 to 20); dance (ages five to 16) — folk and Western dance (group), and Classical dance (solo). Registration opens on Sep. 15, 2012. A fee of Rs. 50 will be collected.
