On October 4, 2012, Students of Class 10 of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Taylors Road gave presentations on various countries such as U.S.A., Norway, Italy, China, Egypt, Oman, Australia, India and Singapore in the school auditorium. They also put up models of famous international monuments such as “The Great Wall of China’, ‘Leaning Tower of Pisa’, ‘Pyramids of Egypt’ and ‘Taj Mahal’ for display.
The objective of the programme was to kindle interest among students to learn more about various landforms, its physical aspects, effect of climate, occupation and culture on the people of the respective countries. Important geographical facts and its mathematical analysis, through graphical representation were depicted in the presentations.
Mr. Pasupathi, Mathematics Dept. and Mrs. Sarada, Social Science Dept. from neighbouring schools were the Guests for the day. The program was attended by Students, Teachers, Parents. Children showed interest and enthusiasm while viewing the models on display. The programme was a visual treat for the visitors and parents and they appreciated the good work done by the students.’
