As part of the monthly Sunday Kutcheri in the Park organised by Sundaram Finance, R. Anirudh Subramanian, a class 8 student of Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, presented a mikeless concert for an hour Sep. 1 morning at the Chess Square of the Nageswara Rao Park in Mylapore. Anirudh has been learning music from Guru Padma Sandilyan.
Accompanied on the Mridangam by Kishore Ramesh and on the Violin by Parur Ananthalakshmi, Anirudh presented songs in classical Carnatic style.
Kutcheri in the Park is held on the first Sunday of every month to promote young talents in music. Children below 15 years can utilise this opportunity. Over 700 children have presented mikeless kutcheri at the Nageswara Rao Park, say the organisers.
