This is the condition of the garbage bins in K.K. Nagar. The bins are overflowing and much garbage is thrown outside the bins in tied plastic bags.
The corporation workers take a lot of effort to keep the bins clean. They sweep and clean all the public places in Chennai. They are saying,”Do not throw waste outside the bins”. But the residents do not seem to bother about it. People even throw the waste in public places such as railway stations and bus stands.
There are some garbage bins in 18th avenue k.k Nagar Chennai, 80 feet road, Virugumbakam in Chennai with overflowing garbages every day. “Prevent pollution by carefully handling the waste, ” said the corporation workers in the noon when they came to clear the bin. This place is so dirty that the wastes are lying on the ground around the bins.
As a result of such irresponsible activities, the drainage system gets clogged. People think it is okay to throw away the waste in public places but, do not think about a corporation worker’s sufferings. Despite difficulties, they work hard to keep the city clean. The government is also making efforts to make the country clean, by taking the message to schools.
“Efforts of government and the city corporation alone is not enough. People have to co-operation with the ‘swach bharath abhiyan’ laid by prime minister Mr.Modi. Co-operate with this plan.’Clean India – Green India,’ urges one of the residents of this area.
