On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Smt. Sivagami Pethachi, the founder-correspondent of M. Ct. M. Chidambaram Chettiyar Matriculation Higher Sec. School, Mylapore organised an oratorical competition in Tamil for the students studying in classes 9 and 10.
The competition was held on Aug. 3, 2008.
The topic for the competition was ‘Aakapphadhayillae Annai Bharatham’ which means ‘India’s Path towards Victory’ in English.Five Schools from different parts of the city participated in this competition.
K. Sekappan from Sri Sarada Secondary School, Gopalapuram won the Best Orator Cup for the year.
And his school won the Smt. Sivagami Pethachi Rolling trophy for the Year 2008-2009.
The prizes were distributed by the chief guest Padmini Pattabhiraman, a faculty of Anna University, Chennai.
