YOCee and DIGI Sound Studio, Adyar jointly screened the educational documentary film ‘The Truth About Tigers’ by Shekar Dattatri, award-winning wildlife and conservation filmmaker on Sep. 25, 2010.

The film that ran for 40 minutes provided useful pointers on how ordinary citizens can contribute towards saving the tiger.

The film has stunning footage shot by some of the world’s leading wildlife cinematographers such as renowned tiger biologist, Dr. Ullas Karanth, of the Wildlife Conservation Society, and wildlife crime fighter, Belinda Wright of the Wildlife Protection Society of India.

The film which took the viewers through the tiger’s life, from birth to death, illustrated how different human activities impact the conservation of this charismatic predator.

The event was co-ordinated by A. Maithily, a tiger enthusiast and an IT professional.
The filmmaker Shekar Dattatri answered questions emanated from the curious audience. The show run houseful and the late ones at
the gate were disappointed. The organisers however decided to screen the film after the interaction session. That brought smiles on the nature enthusiasts. The two shows were educative experiences for the young and the adults.

You too can get to screen the film in your local community hall or apartment complex.
