Rosary Matric celebrated the investiture ceremony on June 22.
The chief guest, Sister Fathima was welcomed by the school band. She has earlier worked as a teacher in Rosary Matric for some years and later served as the Principal.
The ceremony started off with the scripture reading followed by a prayer and a song by the school choir.
Rathna of standard XI welcomed the gathering. The parents of the school leaders were also invited for the occasion.
Nikhita.B. Sundar elaborated the theme “Step Ahead in Unity, Realise crystalised dreams through Leadership”. Then, the students performed a dance depicting the theme.
The school pupil leader (SPL), D. Monica of Std XI and the assistant school pupil leader (ASPL) Shirley Mathew of Std.IX elected by the students were sworn in. Elections were held in full swing on June 14 in which the students of standard VIII and above were allowed to vote.
The house captains, assistant house captains, cultural captains and the games captains were also elected by the students. The school captains were vested with their badges by Sr. Fathima after which they took their pledge. The class captains and house leaders of every class also received their badges.
The school choir presented a song wishing the new leaders. Later, Sr. Fathima gave an inspiring speech for the newly elected leaders followed by the vote of thanks rendered by the head girl D. Monica. The ceremony ended by singing the school song and the National Anthem.
