In the days of social networking, an interesting topic came up for the inter-school debate hosted by Landmark at Citi Center on Aug. 26, 2011.
The students threw up an intense debate on ‘Do we learn more outside classrooms?’
A team argued that “One learns throughout life…” but the opposotion came up with a new definition for the word ‘classroom’ and carried on the argument to a fresh level.
The team from P.S. Senior Secondary School, Mylapore, represented by Manasvini Mukund and Barath Balaji was elected the best. The three best speakers were Kaustub N from PSBB KK Nagar, Abhinav L from Don Bosco Egmore and Sushmita Mohan from PSBB Senior Secondary School.

The judges’ special mention award went to S. Shreya from Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram and the moderator’s special mention award was given to the team from Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao School represented by Navneet Bhattad and Anirudh Dalmia.
Ms. Anu George Canjanathoppil (Legal Director, International Justice Mission), Ms. Shakti Girish (Editor, Galatta Cinema) and Mr. Shihan Hussaini (Martial Arts/Archery Instructor and Artist) judged the event while Mr. Sanjay Pinto, Executive Editor (English News), NDTV Hindu, was the Moderator for the session.
