Teachers’ Day Celebrations at The P.S.B.B Millennium School

The fifth of September, 2008 was an unforgettable day for both the teachers and the students of the school. The students entertained their teachers by presenting various cultural shows on this day.

The students of classes 6 to 9 presented various shows like skits, songs and dances on the stage in front of the teachers during the celebrations in the morning.

The first show was a skit called Memorable Teachers’ day. It was presented by the sixth graders. The skit made the audience think about the way they treated their teachers. It ended with a message to revere ‘Matha, Pitha, Guru and Dheivam’.

Next, the seventh graders rocked the stage by dancing for the song ‘Dhoom again’. They received thunderous applauds from the audience.

The dance was followed by another rocking dance by the ninth graders. They made the audience clap their hands and tap their feet along with the rhythm of the song for which they danced. The song which enchanted everyone was ‘Together’ from high School Musical.

A song from the album of the famous pop star, Hannah Montannah was also part of the celebration. The next performance was the song sung by the eighth graders. A funny role play presented by classes 7, 8 formed the finale. Everyone including the teachers laughed their time out. It was done with the help of the mimicry artists of the school.

The whole program was well organized by the school cultural secretary Akshaya kumar and school assistant cultural secretary Lavanya. The ninth graders managed the students of the lower classes for the whole day.  It was a day when students understood how difficult it is to be a teacher and manage kids!

The students then gave three cheers for the teachers and offered the teachers a lot of gifts. It was a thanksgiving event for the teachers from their students.
