Camp for cracking competitive exams

The inauguration of IIT-JEE and NTSE Camp organised by Nehru Children’s Cultural Association was held at Seminar hall, Department of Inorganic Chemistry, University of Madras.

Around 40 students from various schools in and around Chennai City participated in this Camp.
Dr. S. Balasubramanian, Professor of Inorganic Chemistry, University of Madras inaugurated the IIT-JEE and NTSE Camp and gave lecture on Structure of Atom, Periodic Classification of elements and Metals and Non Metals.

After the Chemistry Section, students were taken to Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre, B.M. Birla Planetarium. Dr. Prof.  K. Srinivasa Rao, Curator, Pie Pavillion and Ramanujan Art Gallery gave lecture on Ramanujan’s Number Theory and Number system.

Students who have joined IIT-JEE and NTSE Classes will be taken to Department of Physics, Chemistry, Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences, Department of Aerospace and Optics Laboratory at IIT-Madras and Department of Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Theoretical Physics and Nulear Physics at University of Madras and Department of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Anna University, Chennai Mathematical Institute & attend Practical Classes, say the organisers.
